This is one of my favorite restaurants and has been since I was a kid....it moved probably six or so years ago to its current location, and originated near the Brookfield/Waukesha border. Anyway, I always eat in the bar: the service is pretty good and it has that whole loungey, kind of divey, kind of old school feel. It makes you want to order a mai tai or any drink with an umbrella in it it. The food is delicious, it does err a little bit on the "heavy" side of things, which is my cup of tea when it comes to Chinese food. The Asia fried rice is awesome, as is, well basically everything on the menu. I wish they were located downtown!

Immediately the table was very sticky. We asked our waitress to please wipe it, and she seemed a bit perturbed, but she cleaned it. She brought out a large plate of fish, most good, but as seen in the picture some of it was unacceptable to eat. It really never should have been available to serve. We asked our server to replace it, which she did. The service was disappointing tonight.

So, my grandmother loves Asia House. She's been going there since long, long ago and fell in love with it when it was still located in a ramshackle old house. The new location has a bit less character than the old spot did, but is otherwise pretty similar. When I enter this restaurant, I immediately think of the Chinese restaurant that the characters in A Christmas Story go to after their holiday meal fails miserably. The decor is... unique. A mix of Wisconsin-bar and "china town decorations threw up all over the walls" A buddha statue sits next to the register, there are beer signs and a happy hour board posted all around the bar as you enter. There are various asian tchotchkes strewn throughout, lots of red and gold, gaudy crystal chandeliers and a painted screen at the back. The tables are standard banquet-room fare with the "Chinese Horoscope" placemats at each setting. The juxtaposition of very basic and very fancy is confusing - the chandeliers combined with the cheap-o furniture definitely create a strange combination. This is furthered when your food is served on elaborate silver pedestals with domed silver covers (hard to serve the food family style to the table from these dishes, as they're elevated and spooning the food, particularly the noodles, off of them just creates a mess) I think the food is fine if you aren't much of a Chinese-food lover. If you just like the components of chinese food; meat, veggies (I don't think theirs are fresh), thick and minimally flavorful sauce... you'll be okay. I ordered the Cantonese Chicken Chow Mein, which I do not recommend in any case. The chicken is sickly pale looking flat peices of chicken mixed with veggies in a flavor-free gooey white sauce, over extremely thin, crunchy noodles that are supposed to be pan-fried, but were instead just sort of crisp and burnt in places. My sister had Sesame Chicken, my husband had honey chicken, and both were okay. My grandmother swears by their Egg Foo Yung and Pork Fried Rice, so these could be safe bets as well. Service was alright - our server was very sweet and kind, especially to our little son, but considering that we were the only table in the restaurant, it was a bit weird that we saw her so sporadically and drink service was spotty (my grandmother didn't get the coffee that she ordered until after our appetizers, and I finished my soda part way into my entree and did not get a refill) If you order the "dinner", you get almond sugar cookies at the end which were good but again, not freshmade at all. 4 of the 5 adults in our group ordered the "dinner" option, which was supposed to include coffee or tea, but we were never offered the coffee or tea at the end of the meal (which is when I assume it would be served) Pricing is expensive for what you get, in my opinion - our dinners were each $12-$15 not including our sodas, and it just wasn't good enough to merit that price. If the pricing were $8-12 each instead, I'd be a lot more forgiving. Nonetheless, Grams loves it, so I am sure we'll be back, I am hoping that now that I've written this Yelp review, it will serve as a reminder to NOT order the Cantonese Chicken Chow Mein again (this is the second time I've made the mistake of ordering it - I forgot I'd had it before!)

I love this place! All the food is great. The egg rolls are the best that I've found. The fish fry is surprisingly good. Also, the service is always friendly and fast. I recommend this place to all of my friends.

Bad choice for lunch. The food lacked flavor and substance. I should have known better. I'd been here before but couldn't remember what I thought of it. Now with Yelp, I can remind myself in the future not to come back.

My dad has been going here for Friday fish fry for as long as he can remember - and therefore so have I. I've had quite a few fish fry's in my day and this one is still by far my favorite. Now the fries are nothing to write home about but I don't get fish fry for the fries - the fish is what matters here and that's what's good in this fish fry. Nice crispy thin batter and I think about 5-6 pieces of lovely flaky cod per portion for about $10. And they do take out!

Okay food. Price not bad at all. Had the buffet so a good selection but not much that i cared to try.
